Getting Started

To begin configuring settings in Orthogramic, navigate to the relevant settings section based on your needs. This guide will walk you through each settings area, providing detailed steps and best practices to ensure that your configuration aligns with organizational objectives.

By understanding and utilizing the settings features outlined in this guide, users can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their data management system, supporting overall organizational success.

Document Weighting

Settings > Documents > Weighting

For more details, see: Weighting and analysis

  1. Define Document Weighting Criteria: Establish the criteria that will determine the importance of each strategic document. Typical criteria include alignment with organizational goals, impact on decision-making, scope of influence, compliance and regulatory requirements, and stakeholder interest.

  2. Assign Weights to Each Criterion: Assign relative weights to each criterion based on its importance to the organization’s strategy. This can be done through stakeholder input, strategic alignment workshops, or expert judgment.

  3. Calculate Weighted Scores: Multiply the scores assigned to each document by the weights of each criterion to get a total weighted score.

  4. Normalize Scores: Normalize the scores to make them comparable across different documents. This can be done by dividing each document’s score by the highest score or by summing all scores and dividing each by the total.

  5. Rank Documents: Rank documents based on their normalized scores to determine their relative importance.

Business Architecture

Settings > Business Architecture

For more details, see: Business Architecture domains

  1. Select Business Domains: We strongly recommend not altering the default Business Architecture domains to be managed in Orthogramic. If you do want to reduce this list, identify and select relevant the business domains that align with the organization's strategic and operational goals. These domains will form the backbone of your business architecture documentation within Orthogramic.
